Meet the Pastor Image

Pastor Duane Riddle was born in York, PA, but grew up in Somerset county. He accepted Jesus as His Saviour when he was a young boy, but because he was unchurched &  not discipled he lived carnally through his teenage years. In his early 20s he rededicated his life to Christ and was called to preach. After 4 years of pastoring a denominational church, he saw the unscriptural nature of denominationalism and planted an independent church. In 2004, he became an ordained Independent Baptist minister under Rev. Chance Ickes, pastor of the Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle in Jennerstown, PA.  After leaving the church plant he became a missionary for Reformers Unanimous and traveled with Mastery Prison Ministry to state & federal prisons all over the U.S. and is still currently involved with Mastery. After leaving Reformers Bro. Riddle developed his own recovery material that is currently being used in several churches around the country. Not being churched or discipled as a young man, and seeing first hand, the destructive habits formed by sin, Pastor Riddle realizes the value and awesome responsibility of the local church. He has a heart & passion to disciple new Christians and restore those who have fallen. Bro. Riddle was voted in as the Pastor of Old Bethel Church on September 14, 2014. He believes the local church is the "support group" for those inside & outside of the church who are hurting and struggling with addictive, destructive behavior and strongly emphasizes Biblical counseling through the local church for all of life's non-medical problems & issues.  He has a vision for the church to be actively involved in missions, outreach ministries, edifying & equipping the saints by training & discipling the next generation, ministering to those who are hurting, and the salvation of the lost.
Bro. Duane has been married to his wife, Jodi, for 31 years and together they have three sons.
